At 1:00pm Thursday September 10th, Enid Habitat for Humanity and the community of Enid are getting together to try to break the Official Guinness Book World Record for Most kites Flown, by flying 1,000 or more kites in the sky at the same time. Just in case the weather/wind doesn't cooperate Sep 10th, there are 2 additional weather delay record attempt dates scheduled for this event: Sept 14th and Sep 19th. The reason for scheduling this event/record attempt on a weekday, is so that enough school children from the area schools can be bused in to fly kites and make the record attempt possible. Dedicated kite flyers are welcome to come fly and add to the actual number of kites flown. There should be a lot of media present during this event.
